Full Name: Viktor Walden
Gender: Male
Age: 51
Occupation: Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor // Slytherin HoH (if Available
Loyalties: To education, principle, and the pure blood lineage, unwittingly, his allegiance lies with Nikolas Vogel. He does not know this because Nikolas never approached him.
Avatar: (Jason Isaacs)
General Appearance: Tall, formal and grandois. He carries himself the way a puritan would. He stands at around 6'2", comes across as intimidating, but once you get to talk to him, you will see that the years he has lived has taught him a great deal about life, and that he indeed is a man of wisdom.
Brief Character History: Born to a wealthy Germanic pureblood clan, Viktor has always prided himself on his heritage. As a young man in Hogwarts, he was Head boy in his time and was quite the accomplished student. When he got out of the school, he got himself a job at the Ministry straightaway, working in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. After ten years of work, he became an Auror, and at the young age of thirty-five, became Head of the Auror office. When he turned fifty, he retired from his job and went to teach at Hogwarts. Through it all, he's lived a clean, straight life.
As for his personal life, he married at twenty-three. His wife gave birth to a baby girl when Viktor was twenty-five. His daughter is now 26 years old and works as an Auror, following after the footsteps of her father. His wife died a couple of years ago, but Viktor saw no reason to remarry, once again demonstrating the straight road that he took in life.
Personality: He is the epitome of a true German--direct, painfully honest, and one who lives by principles. He is steadfast, and has sworn never to stray from what he believes is right. He is a very wise man who takes a side on the purist way of thinking because he is a puritan himself, and has seen first-hand the trouble that muggle-born wizards are capable of.
He has never had a mistress, being completely devoted to his family. He knows his priorities and has them straight. When his wife died, he mourned, but being the man he was, continued living and picked himself up. His daughter too lives the kind of life he lives--following a straight path that has long been set before him.
Sample Roleplay:
He was leaning against the window of her study when Antonia walked in from her interview with the middle-aged Senator. Stefanus turned around to see Antonia's surprised look and smiled easily. "Surprised, Antonia?" he asked with a slight slur in his voice. Clearly, he was not sober, but at the same time, not quite drunk to be out of his right mind. "Come now, you know I was always good into breaking into your villas, be it here or in Macedonia." he reminded her.
"I wrote to tell you that I'd come, but you never returned any of my letters." he said as he walked over to her. "It's just like the old times, eh?" he smiled. "Going into your villa to interrupt whatever you and Alexander were doing to ask for help whenever I make a mess out of things." he said with a remiscent voice, "I'm back, Antonia. And just like the old times, I need your help." he said quietly.
He walked over to her and touched her cheek with the back of his hand gently, examining her tired, yet beautiful features. "Fate has not been kind to you, my old friend, but youth has certainly been." he said as he dropped his hand and stepped back. "Once again, and I do hope it will be the last time, I must trespass on your hospitality." he turned back to the window and leaned against its frame. "My father has sent his men to my villa to take me back to Hispania. He still wishes to free our land from Rome. I tried to tell him that it was all in vain, but the old man will not listen to the voice of reason." he shook his head as he stared into the garden.
"He insists on taking money out of our own treasury, and I am not pleased. Neither are my people, they are tired. This war has been going on for the past fifty years, and they have lost many of their loved ones in a battle that will never be won." he shook his head and glanced back at her.
"Rumour has it that you are intimate with Serpenticus Maximus." he started, "I have long admired the man, and have heard of his plans for Rome. Selling my land would seem beneficial to Rome as well as Hispania. Our people would have their peace, and Rome would not have to keep on spending money on the war. I only ask for a small amount in return. Say, twenty million aurei?" he said easily. "If not, then I suppose more lives would be lost, and Rome will probably spend more in the future." he said.
"As for Serpenticus, well, it seems that he's to be Emperor. Do speak to him for me, Antonia. Perhaps we can reach a bargain of some sort." his voice trailed away as he gazed into the sky which was now darkening with rain clouds.
He turned away from the window and looked back at his friend. "But we have much time to talk about that." he said civilly. "How are you faring without Alexander?" he asked concernedly, knowing how Alexander's death had affected Antonia, as he had been at his friend's funeral. "And Alexandria, how is she?" he asked, referring to his god-daughter.
