Setting (Location, Weather, Time): The libarary. It is dark, just after student cerfew. Outside a storm is gathering and rain lashes against the windows. Status (Open/Closed/Preffered Characters): Open to all Adult Character. ((17+)) First Post Summary: General Plot (What story do you wish to impart?): Tha amount of knowledge that Lilia holds within the libaray of Hogwarts. HOw others would use her just to get that knowledge.[/b] It was dark out side the great school of Hogwarts. Rain lashed against the stone walls, whilst the wind whisteled through the trees, even through certain unprotected corridors. A storm was building. In the school most lights were out, all the students in the common rooms. It was just after cerfew, and few students dared to break that rule. So unlike when Lilia had been at school there.
Lilia was the school librarian, and although she was only seventeen, she was clever and sharp witted even if she was some what a rebel. Having been disowned by her muggle family the young woman had had no where else to go, so she simply stayed at the school. Finiding the job as the school librarian she could now support herself. And even the rebel she was won't want anyother job in the world.
That was Lilia right down to the ground. Outspoken, loud and vulgar at times with a quite witty side to her. As she so rightly put it Knowledge was power. If that statment was true she was one of the most powerful witches in the world. Her love for books having let her easily pass her school exams with the top marks in her year. Even beating the boy's, much to their distaste.
On that paticular evening the tall pale skined woman was placing some of the dusty old tombs in her care onto the new shelves that she had just had made. She was pretty, with dark hair and eyes. Although once again her more rebelious side showed, her eyes having been rimmed with dark black, a idea that would be come very fashonable in centuries to come. But on that day.
The light in the libarary was dim, and there was not a sound except the tap of Lilia's heels on the floor, and the slight brusing of her robes on the sheleves every so often. It was late, and she was just about to retire when she heard another person enter the libarary. Stopping she spoke out in a smooth voice with obvious breeding. "I'll be with you in a moment." She said, placing the books down on one of the shelves and winding her way back to the her desk at the front of the room.

Blake found himself inside the vast chamber which seems to be the infamous library of hogwarts. Since he was here already, he decided to take the tour himself. At first, he paced through shelf after shelf without a word, his eyes wandering from a book title to another. Impressive was all that came to Blake's mind, as he never has set foot to a vast archive of every written book.
By chance, he stopped by from time to time, sometimes reaching for a book to have a look-see. Dusty tomes and ancient parchments litter one of the shelves that posed no interest to Blake. As his paced slowed to a stop, heels that ram the floor with a steady rhythm caught Blake's attention outright, he turned around to the figure that approached, tall, excellent figure. he thought, by the movement and the sound of the footsteps, I'd say this silhouette that is heading this way is female.
He paused for a while and reached for the first book that his eyes caught. Loud sparks sliced through the dim-lit sky as it made its loud entry. He browsed the book for a small amount of time, but as his interest for the book started to fade away, he returned the book to its rightful place, then went for the opposite shelf to browse some ancient chronicles regarding the most notorious wizards that ever walked the magical world.
This topic appealed to him, so he took the initiative and picked the scrolls up to expand his knowledge of those that posed a threat in the early times of the magical world. As few lightning bolts storm and raid the skies, they provide short bursts of light. He didn't mind if the silhouette that was pacing towards him was behing him or had just caught up.
He pulled his wand out and he mutters a spell of illumination, otherwise known as lumos. It emitted enough light to shed a better view of the book. "Good evening." he said, as he sensed that the lady that was standing behind him was looking at him.

Lilia let her dark rimmed eyes scan over the older boy who was reading one of the many old books the huge libarary held. When he spoke she leant against the book shelf slightly, all the students here were so polite to her it was unbeliable. Afterall she was still only there age, she was still only just seventeen.
"Shouldn't you be in your common room?" She asked, her voice smooth and eloquent. Bring a hand up to her hais she twirled one of the dark pieces round and round her findger over and over again waiting for a reply. It didn't bother her about student cerfew times but she knew that most of the stafff, althoguh kind enough to her would be angry if she ignored the fact that this boy wasn't in his common room.
Letting her dark eyes scan over the libarary she thought about all the power it held, all the knowledge. she had read every single book in the room, just to check that they were suitable for who ever was going to read them. She had the knowledge, it was just a case that she didn't use it. She wasn't going to have to fight anyone or anything was she?
Little did LIlia know that knowledge would become very important in the times to come. Especially her own knowledge in reaserch and books.
((Sorry it's short. Bit of writers block.))

"I believe so, dear Librarian" he replies, "But none inside our common room interests me at the moment, so I decided to spend some time here at this vast library." he continued from one page to another, there's an article about Voldemort, which was everything but interesting, since his reign of terror was one of the elusive ones, well of course, that was Blake's opinion.
The storm brewing outside sent flashes of light, which made things hard to read since light wasn't coming from a steady source, except for his wand, though. He made up his mind and offered the librarian to sit, since it was awkwardly rude to talk to someone while one's back is turned, especially when talking to a lady.
Before he forgot, he introduced himself, "I'm Blake Orzohv, 7th year Slitherin." he hesitated to ask, but curiosity flooded his mind, "May I ask what your name is?" he found it awkward to introduce himself to other people, and vice versa. He continued reading through the book, waiting for the young librarian's reply.

Lilia pushed away a lose strand of dark hair from her qequally dark eyes. There was a slight smirk set on her face from the boys comment about nothing intresting him. She had been like that before she had been offered the job as Librarian, she could never find anything that could her intrest. Anything but a book that was.
"Lilia Duham." The young women said, a slight smile still on her pale face. "Hogwarts Librian. Ex-Ravenclaw." Despite most people's thought's LIlia was still very young, being the same age as some of the oldest students. But that didn't stop her holding alot of power within her own small domain.
"Thats a good book." She pointed out, not really to stop the silence but merely because she was intrested in what the boy thought of it. It had been one of her newer purchases, and had been only just read by herself. She had wondered though if should have been in the restricted section. Bit late for that now.

"Yes, I believe so." he replies, "Yet I strongly suggest that this be in the restricted section, away from the young minds that wander and tinker anything of their choosing." He closed the book, making a soft thud as it was closed. "You have a nice name." he compliments. He handed the book so the librarian. He hesitated to call the librarian with her own name, since it was vaguely disrespectful. He really like talking to people, but sometimes, talking really is the only way. He stood up and turned his attention to the bookshelf at his back. He scanned it for interesting titles. "These shelves contain those books that are yet to be relocated to the restricted section, no?" he asked, picking up a book about the past headmasters of Hogwarts and their own history.
He returned the pages and searched for the headmaster before the current headmaster, Nikolas Vogel. The former headmaster really hid his past from the world, since no more than 2 paragraphs were written about him, whic includes where he was born and what was his hobbies, which was useless, as usual. "Might I ask, who exactly was the last headmaster?" he asks,"I cannot seem to find the information I seek in this book." he adds, raising the book that he was currently browsing.

Taking the book when it was handed to her Lilia craddeled in the crook of her arm. She wold put it into the restricted section later, before she went to bed. Looking at the young Slytherin Lilia took her time to anaylse him while he spoke. It had always been fasinating to her the way that people acted and behaved around others. She wondered how this Slytherin boy could be so nice. Afterall there was rarely no prejudice going around the school, and now wasn't one of those rare times.
"Yes, thats the section that need to be charmed before they go into the restricted section." Lilia responded in answer to his question. It took some time to sort out all the books, and the last librarian had left them in an awful mess and obviously in an awful hurry Lilia did not know why.
In responce to the next question that Blake threw at her Lilia lent against the book shelf slightly before speaking. "The old headmaster, i know little of. He didn't stay for all that long though i seem to remember." That was the first lie Lilia would tell that evening, she knew more about the old HEadmaster then she let on. the old headmaster though had ekpt many a secret and many books that had any relevance to him were kept even from the restricted section and the libarary itself.

"As I have thought." he said, flipping across a few pages. The library was quite silent except for their voices and the echoes of the storm outside. He gazed outside to see the intensity of the storm that was about to arrive. And for some reason, he can't make himself believe what the librarian said about the previous Headmaster before Nikolas Vogel. "Certainly a library this vast could store hundreds of scrolls and sacred artifacts." he said, "And yet there are no records of the previous Headmaster?" he complains, trying to pry out what he can.
He wasn't so sure himself of his purpose in asking the librarian about the previous Headmaster, since it really was very awkward. As another thunderbolt sliced through the horizon, Blake brushed his hair back to keep it from falling upon his eyes. The thought of her looking at him never left Blake's mind, he just pretends not to notice and leaves her be. "And so far, how many of these books have been enchanted already?" he asked, as he closed the book down, returning it to the shelf from where it came.
"It would be strange enough to think that a student would pass by and read some vital information." he said, "We don't know who's who and what side they're on." Warnings were best said earlier, rather than late.

To the Slytherin's stament Lilia simply shruged. She didn't really trust him and wasn't going to tell him anything that he didn't know. She was keeping the books away from prying eyes for a reason. Even at her young age Lilia knew the value of knowledge, that any one could use knowledge for bad while very few people could do good with the same.
"None of those books are enchanted, because that sir was what i intended to do this evening." lilia spoke with the soft eloqution of a well bought up women. One would hardly believe that she had been thrown out of her own home only a year before. As Lillia had always been classed as a sort of rebel to the era she was suprised when she called the Slytherin Sir, no doubt it would be a suprise to him too.
Smiling slightly when Blaze spoke about sides. He couldn't even start to guess who took what sides in all this that was going on. "Do you not think it is a little foolish, to speak so openly with me when you don't know what side i take?" She asked, a small smirk now coming to rest in her face.

"No need for the formalities, dear librarian." he said with a sly smile. "And I need not know what side you are on." he said. "I don't give a damn, anyway. I'm not planning to throw myslef in the middle of the fight, well atleast not yet." The conversation kept its own pace, although it seemed a bit awkward as it progressed. He knew he can't make the librarian say anything to him. "Yet, if I am to join this war, I hope I'd be on the side of my choosing." he says with a sly grin. His hair dropped to his face as he bowed down to browse on the book that he was still currently reading.
His thoughts ran amock as he thought of things he would say when she suspects things from out of the blue. Most of his thoughts were on the Headmaster's history. But for some reason, his attention slowly shifted to their current conversation.

"If you deem so." Lilia said, picking up some of the books from the shelf that Blaze had already picked up some of the books. Runnning her ebony wand down the spine of the book in her hand she muttered some words before a light green glow is given off from the book - only then did she put it down. She then picked up the next book doing exactly the same, all the time never taking her eyes from the Slytherin student who was barely her own age who stood before her.
"Wars are delict subjects, those who chose sides too early know not what they put themselves into." Lilia said, her mind now fully on the subject of thier conversation, unsure if she should speak to one of the students as she did. There were lots of things that the young women didn't know about, but then there were also lots of thigs that she did as well.

"I agree." Blake replies, "Yet it seems that sometimes, choosing your sides early provides you the benifit of their trust, but from what you said, it is sometimes more strategic to choose sides later on." He wasn't sure why he laid down the words that he spoke, since his mind and mouth just acted on reflex. He brushes his hair back up so he could see clearly what he was reading. "And might I ask, dear librarian?" he said with an inquiring look.
"How is it that you know such things when you tell me all the while that you know nothing?" he said, while flipping to the other page with his right hand, since his cheek was resting on his left hand. "And it seems your effort for denial backfired." he said with a smile. ((btw, it's Blake, not Blaze, and my post is short too...))

Lilia smirked, if the Slytherin wanted to play mind games, that was fair enough, it was a bit late for her to realise that she was talking herself around in circles. "There is alot of knowledge, in this place." She said, her arms open talking about the libarary. " Although i might not know about the last head master i do know what trials are world now faces." Lilia went back to the books she was sorting out, putting them all abck on the shelf that they had earlier stood on in a jumble. Atleast now they were in some sembelince of order, which that evening they had not been.
"It is getting late." Lilia said, for apparently no reason. She knew that Blake shouldn't be out this late and in all honesty she was quite tired, she had never realised that earning a living could be so strenuous. There was always so much to do and before she had got there the library had been a mess, nothing in order and very difficult to find. It had taken some time to sort out but it wasn't anymore.

"It is?" he said, "Apologies, I was not aware that time slipped us by so fast.. Our conversation was most interesting." Blake closes the book with a shallow but deep echoing thud. He handed the leatherbound book to the young librarian and looked straight at her eyes. His mind was still haunted by his grim past, yet it slowly dissapitated as his attention slowly drifted towards everything about the young librarian, who was a few inches smaller than him.
<< Admin Edit: Blake, we implemented a THREE (3) paragraph minimum about a month ago. Please be advised. Perhaps you can add a bit more description as to what kind of past Blake is haunted by.>>[/color]
